With Christmas fast approaching the Spanish charity “Banc dels Aliments” (the Food Bank) is once again organizing its annual food collection campaign,“El Gran Recapte” (The big collection). This is the third consecutive year the campaign has run and it is now one of the biggest charity campaigns in Spain. "El Gran Recapte" collects food donated by generous members of the public in supermarkets across Catalyuna and is used to give the most disadvantaged people in Spain, a helping hand during the festive season. This year the “Banc dels Aliments” has the ambitious target of collecting 800 tons of food, which will provide support to lots of families. One will be able to donate food to “El Gran Recapte” in more than 600 supermarkets across the largest Catalan cities during the weekend of the 25-26 November.
